UK IT services company requires a network project Manager to work within a team of 2 people providing both Project Management and delivery of new networking infrastructure. You should have at least 2 years experience of installing and commissioning networks and be capable of trouble shooting issues.
The engineer needs to be capable of
1 Taking user requirement and designing solution ( using customer standard kit * practices )
2 Producing suitable written feedback to users once solution agreed.
3 Using customer project system * paperwork to implement and order necessary lines*kit etc
4 Once delivery accepted, take kit to site and install * commission
5 Document and deal with teething problems
6 offer 2nd level support as part of team and also help
Key skills
Alcatel Omni switch
Alcatel 77*7800 ethernet switches
Nortel Passport 8000
Nortel ASN, 2430 routers etc
Nortel Optera 1400
Watchguard
Working knowledge of Security products.
3Com Netbuilder, 1100, 3300 switches etc.
BT and other PTT services
General Comms experience
CCNA or CCNP qualification would be beneficial.
